The Pateley Bridge Walking Festival was founded by a group of keen volunteers who all live in the locally. They’d walked up and down dale for many years and wanted to share the beauty wedding dresses of Nidderdale with other walkers and thus The Pateley Bridge Walking Festival came to fruition. It takes place the week following the annual Nidderdale Show in late September which was traditionally the Feast Week in Pateley Bridge, the time when celebrations and general festivities took place.
